Being modest

While waiting for the bus today some guy drove by with a Lotus and honked. I ignored the guy while I enjoyed my Ipod, but the guy keeps waving, so I took a look into the car and It was my co-worker.  His long awaited Lotus has arrived last week.  So he offered an ride to work. his commute is from the 76 to the 57s every morning with his sports car.

In the car I told him he must have gotten a good bonus, but he is wasting too much money. (Even though I enjoyed the ride and I saved myself 2 bucks), but he told me that the car was really cool and its a "chick magnet".  I thought that is very insecure of him to say so, and he can be a little more modest. Yes, he is a millionaire, but does he have to show it off by have 2 garages (one at home, and one at work) and driving 5 mins to work?

I often wonder why at times don't like traders, don't get me wrong they are fun and stuff, but sometimes I just cant relate to them , and almost ever trader has an ego. On the other hand, without that ego they would actually be a bad trader.  I just wish they would be more modest like Ingvar Kamprad (the owner of Ikea)

I like Ingvar Kamprad. He is going to be my new role model.
