I have been putting off writing about this for a while now:
It was Wednesday (9/7), the market was slow and the weather very nice. It was the perfect opportunity to take Tiffany's suggestion check out the
earth shattering cappuccino from Bottega Del Vino. My boss also give me some great recommendations about this place as well. He told me that they have an impressive wine list and very good food but he told me the food is great.
Knowing my boss, this place is not going to be cheap for lunch, so I decided to pickup some salad somewhere before I pick up the cappuccino.
So when I arrived at Bottega Del Vino the hostess came up to me and said: "deliveries are next door". WTF?!?! I was thinking was she talking to me? I was in my business attire (
not my D&G pants but STILL!!), and she thought that I was a delivery boy? Are all Asians carrying a plastic bag delivery boys now? Anyway I gently told her: "Sorry lady, I am customer and I just want a cup of cappuccino." I did give her the dirtiest look while ordering and she looked apologetic, but she did not apologize.
I told My boss the following morning and he was really pissed and called the manager and complained Should I have made a bigger scene out of it?
-update-
My boss and I had breakfast on Monday morning with the manager of Bottega Del Vino apologized for the unfortunate event and pay picked up the bill. The food is excellent and the cappuccino is earth shattering, but deep inside I am still very upset. I know she does not represent the public, but its like being mugged. The mugger does not represent the race, but it just sucks to be in the unfortunate event.
